Alexandros Marketos, born in 1976 and grown up in Athens, is a person who loves and respects the sea since his professional life has always been connected to the Sea Environment. In January 1993, at the age of 16, he was enlisted as a non-commissioned officer in the Hellenic Navy.

His love for new experiences, discoveries and his tendency to belong to the Elite, quickly led him to enter the Special Forces and the Diving Groups of the Hellenic and U.S. Navy. In addition to the training and certifications he received from the Special Forces he served, he was trained and certified as a Salvage Diver by the U.S. Navy, quickly getting the U.S. Navy “Deep Sea” award.

In 2013, after 20 years of service and a very successful career in the U.S. Navy & Hellenic Navy, Alexandros decided to retire.

In the same year, he founded the Diving School “Deep Blue Divers” PADI 5 Star Dive Center, and the SEATEC Underwater Services, continuing his dream and setting new and higher goals.
